I just made my first mini scrapbook paper bag album and I can promise you it will not be the last!
The supplies are so simple, you probably have everything you need on hand already. Go ahead and grab:
- 3 paper lunch bags
- Ribbon
- Scrapbook Paper
- Roll on tape (or regular tape, or glue - to stick everything on with)
- Stickers or other fun embellishments
- Paper cutter (if you want to make life easier for yourself), scissors will work too.
- Hole punch (again, to make life easier but a scissors would also get the job done)
Fold paper bags in half. Now each bag has become 4 mini pages - see how that works?
I found that it was easiest to put the paper on first and then punch the holes, otherwise your paper won't go all the way to the edge of the paper or you'll have to re-punch the holes anyway.
Decorate the pages as desired with fun paper, embellishments, and photos. (I gave my to my sister as a present and am letting her put in the photos, which is why mine doesn't have any yet!)
Punch holes into the first paper bag. I have two holes on each page, but you could also do three putting one in the middle. After you punched the holes in the first page, use that page as a guide to how to punch the other ones. I put them on top of each other and marked where I would punch.
In order to put the pages together you will need some ribbon. Simply string through all of the holes and tie. Now it's hard to even tell where one bag ends and the other begins! Hm, is this two different bags or one open flat? :)
One of the super fun things about paper bag scrapbooks is the pockets! These can be used to store notes, movie tickets, and of course - more pages!
For the pull out pages. simply measure your bag and then cut out 3 pages that will fit into each paper bag half.
Add ribbon to the page (I stapled mine) in order to pull the page out of the bag (and to make it look cute).
Including the front and back cover and the inside pages, this mini scrapbook has a total of 18 pages that you can write on and add pictures too! Not bad for 3 paper bags, huh?! :)
